OVERVIEW

PLAYS AGUS PINTS is a series of staged readings of Irish-American playwrights - featuring works by Judith McIntyre, Mike O'Malley and Dave McLaughlin, presented in partnership with the Sugan Theatre Company, which is dedicated to encouraging the development of contemporary plays in the Irish tradition.

WHAT

is a staged reading?

Reduce a play to it to its essential components - actors delivering dialogue. Oral storytelling. That's a staged reading.

WHERE
will this be held?   The Stanford Calderwood Pavilion at the Boston Center for the Arts - Tremont Street in the South End. Followed by drinks at the Jurys Doyle Hotel bar on Berkeley Street.  For tickets, just show up by 7:45 the evening of the performance and ask for your free ticket at the BCA Box Office window.  Reservations are not necessary.

WHEN
will this happen?   Three Tuesdays in February - the 8th, 15th, and 22nd. All readings will start at 8:00 p.m.

WHO
will be at the readings?   You. Your friends. Anyone who likes to meet new people and hear great stories told by terrific writers, directors and actors.

WHY
would I want to attend?   To be entertained. To meet new people. To be enriched by new plays. And it's free (and it's February).
